Hi Roy, Marci and Alice,

As you can read in the message thread I have compiled below, we have been in conversations with Western Governors University (WGU) about a Memorandum of Understanding which would provide our graduating students with a tuition break and possible scholarships for continuing their online education at WGU (in very specific areas).
Bob Rustad in their Partnership Program first contacted President LaFayette at a League Conference (first message at bottom). Then VP Mary Ellen O’Keeffe and I followed up. As I describe below, in meeting with WGU’s Vice President of Strategic Relations (Ken Sorber), I was very impressed with the instructional quality, competency-based convenience of earning credit, and the high level of individual student support built into WGU’s programs (accredited by NWCCU). I believe this is a win/win/win situation for both institutions and our students.
